The Cleveland Browns’ seasoned quarterback,Joe Flacco, who has thrown for over 300 yards in all but one of his games with the team, salvaged the season by leading the team to a 4-1 record in the final stretch to secure a postseason berth for just the second time in 20 years.
However, it appears like Deshaun Watson will return to the starting quarterback position for the club in the upcoming campaign.
Deshaun Watson will be the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns again in the upcoming season, according to head coach Kevin Stefanksi, who made the announcement at his Monday news conference. Watson is anticipated to be well enough to play again by the spring. According to Stefanski, “Yeah, he’s doing great in rehab” (Pro Football Talk). “I have no doubt that he’ll be prepared to go this spring.
Though he’s chewing at the bit, he’s following the doctors’ instructions and recovering from this in the best way possible. He will, however, be prepared to go. Given that Watson is entering just the third season of his enormous five-year contract with the Browns, which is completely guaranteed, this isn’t really surprising. However, Watson’s future—as well as Flacco’s, for that matter—has officially been decided.
