Jurgen Klopp, manager of Liverpool, is said to be interested in acquiring Antonio Rudiger, a defender for Real Madrid.

But with Joel Matip out of contract in the summer and out of the lineup for the remainder of the season owing to a knee injury, Klopp may soon make improving the team’s defence a top goal.
Matip would become one of Liverpool’s two important centre backs at age 33 in 2023–24 if he were to get new terms, despite rumours suggesting he would receive them. The other centre back would be Virgil van Dijk.
While Joe Gomez and Jarell Quansah are viable options, Ibrahima Konate is a clear first choice when healthy. However, there is a sense that a high-profile signing for the centre of the backline will arrive in the summer.
Nacional claims that Klopp is now considering his alternatives and has his eye on Rudiger as a player.
The 30-year-old, who has made 44 starts and eight substitute appearances in La Liga during his first 18 months at the Bernabeu, may be happy with his amount of playing time.
Due to injuries to other important defenders, the Germany international is being relied upon for 21 starts and eight bench appearances in other tournaments.
Even yet, the report implies that Rudiger, who is itching for a new deal with Los Blancos, is open to hearing Liverpool’s offer.
Though he is less than halfway through a four-year contract, Rudiger is said to believe he will soon be eligible for further terms.
